This solid silver pill / snuff box is constructed from sterling silver (925) and features an engraved scroll motif design on the lid with the sides and base left unembellished. The top of the lid is mounted with two triangular agate stones, forming a square in the centre of the octagonal surface.

Unlike the typical silver box designs, this box features an octagonal geometric design in combination dual compartments, ideal for storing two different types of pills/snuff.

Upon holding the box, the multiple cornered edges aid in the ease of grip in hand in addition to aesthetic satisfaction. The hinge and closure of the lid function flawlessly with a smooth closure of the lid. 

The box is hallmarked with "Silver 925" indicating its sterling purity and due to the nature of design/decoration, we estimate its age to be of the 20th century.
