Micro Solid Silver and Gilt Toothpick/Snuff Box - c.1980s

Description and Details 

This small toothpick/snuff box is constructed from 925 Sterling silver and features a silver gilt interior. Unfortunately, the maker and origin were unidentifiable on this piece however, due to the international 'Hallmarking Convention' mark it is apparent that this box was produced post-1980s. 

The miniature size makes for an excellent portable silver piece for toothpicks or even a smidgen of snuff for a day's outing. Contrary to its size, the aesthetics present bold lines on the lid with a contrasting gold plate interior undoubtedly an eye-catching bijou object. 

As expected from 925-grade silver, the build of high quality and has a sturdy feel in the hand despite its size (18g). The hinge is smooth and functions flawlessly in addition to the very tight and precise closing lid from which an audible click can be heard upon closure.
