Description and Details 

This intricately engraved solid silver salver/tray was made by silversmith Henry Holland in London 1859.

Spanning over 26cm, the salver's relatively large size provides for an excellent base for fine, decorative embellishments. Hand engraved foliate scrolls, flowers and acanthus leaves are present - a popular and recognisable style of Victorian aesthetic taste.

The border of the salver features flared, rococo-style chased scrolls and multiple intricately stippled points of an acanthus leaf.

The centre of the salver is left blank with no monograms or inscriptions - ideal for presenting this tray as a gift to someone or for adding a commemorative engraving of your own.

The salver stands on three cast-silver feet which presents a continued foliate theme with further acanthus scrolls.

Hallmarks are fully present and clearly legible with minimal wear.

An ornate and classical Victorian silver tray ideal for practical usage with great craftsmanship and sturdy weight (440g).
