We are delighted to offer this splendid 14ct gold horseshoe seed pearl brooch made in the Victorian era c.1860.Featuring a wonderful solid gold and antique design, the mount is shaped in a horseshoe design and half-cut seed pearls have been embedded intricately along the curvature.
The warm antique gold tone is complimented by the soft lustre of the pearls, each with a slightly different hue and unique character in each stone. The rear of the brooch features a classical antique c-clasp design.
Classically elegant and distinguished from contemporary designs; this horseshoe brooch would make for a lovely piece of antique jewellery to wear with your favourite clothes. Aside from the evident equestrian interest, the horseshoe symbolises luck & protection - a wonderful and charming peace to wear to subtly display your equestrian passion or, - hopefully good fortune! The brooch is unmarked as is common with pieces of the period. As such we have tested it to show 14ct solid gold.
All of our jewellery comes with a complimentary hard shell gift box with a velvet interior.
