Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this wonderful solid silver goblet made by renowned maker Elkington & Co in Birmingham, 1902.
This goblet showcases one of Elkington's fine designs - an intricately decorated top band/frieze of Roman scenes with many figures which magnificently contrasts the plain mirror finish of the other areas.
Towards the base of the cup, a thin neck conjoins the widened base of the goblet which allows for contents to be poured within with no issues of stability.
The wine ewer is for image purposes only and may be purchased separately.
The goblet features English hallmarks on the side of the plain body - the marks are slightly worn as photographed.
A wonderful piece to grace a table in addition to additional wares such as ewers, pitchers and other Elkington pieces, or as an outright piece on its own to add some fine silverware to one's interior decor.
