Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this wonderful pair of Georgian solid silver pedestal sauce boats made by London silversmith William Collins in 1774.The pair features a timeless and classic Georgian design of the plain, unembellished body with a gadrooned border on the top and feet of the pedestal.
Furthermore, a cast-silver handle of an elegant form is present with a minimal yet accenting engraved top thumbpiece of a foliate design.
In addition to other silverware, the pair makes for an excellent display of the fine Georgian craftsmanship.
The pair is fully hallmarked on the lip with English marks - some wear is present due to its age (246 years old).
An example of how one may wish to display/use a collection of fine Georgian Silverware.
