Description and Details
This handsome solid silver mug was made by silversmith William Evans in London 1868.
The exterior features a minimalist yet iconic design found in earlier tankard pieces with bold reeded lines running across the top and bottom band of its body.
Its smaller size is ideal for many uses such as a christening mug, presentation gift or for an indulging piece of silverware to use in your home with any beverage of your choice.
The interior has a light-layer of gliding that contrasts the external monochromatic silver colour whilst also protecting it from oxidation/tarnishing from whatever liquid it may be exposed to.
Its applied handle has a solid and thick gauge with a c-shaped cut out thumbpiece making it easier for the user to handle this mug.
The mug has been fully hallmarked on the side.
