Antique Victorian Puffy Heart Pendant Necklace Red & White Enamel 9K - c.1900

We are delighted to offer this adorable antique Victorian 9ct gold puffy heart pendant made c.1900.

Captivating, romantic and enchanting upon first glance, this pendant features a rich red and white enamel on top of a textured (almost strawberry-like) pattern.

The endearing heart shape is complemented by one little seed pearl in the centre. The contrast between the red enamel and the white dotted border creates a wonderful appearance and especially under sunlight, the translucent red area glows richly.

In addition to its delightful enamelling and colours, the manner in which the gold body is formed in a 'puffy' heart shape allows for the pendant to have more presence than its dimensions may suggest.

Distinctly Victorian & romantic, this pendant makes for a wonderful addition or gift with versatility to match an array of clothing and bound to be a conversation starter upon wearing.

Ready to wear out of the box: All of our pendants also include the photographed thinner complimentary 9ct solid gold (modern) chain so that you can enjoy your newly acquired treasure straight out of the box.

The pendant is unmarked as is common with articles of this period and as such we have tested it for gold indicating 9ct gold.

Condition: fair antique condition with some enamel loss on the white border and some minor surface wear commensurate with age - please kindly refer to the photographs for further details. The enamel loss is not very apparent front on and when viewing from a normal distance as it has not gone through to the gold mount.
