We are delighted to offer this magnificent Victorian 18K gold & garnet necklace made c.1840.The necklace is made from high carat gold (18K+) and in Baroque revival style featuring fluid scrolls and swirling motifs.A central Almandine Garnet is embedded within a foliate mount with further Baroque decoration that is intricate and embellished with stippling. Please do take the chance to zoom into the central section to fully appreciate the high level of finesse and detail.The chain is equally impressive with a continuing theme of asymmetric scrolled decorations and alternating fluid shapes. A clasp and a later security chain are present at the top.Regal and elegant in design, this necklace presents an array of highly desirable traits that make for an excellent piece to make a distinguished and impressionable statement. Ideal with one-pieces, blouses or even in the winter on top of a turtleneck, this piece certainly is versatile and a conversation starter.
