Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this dainty pair of solid silver Victorian salts made by the renowned maker Elkington in London, 1887.
The pair presents unique beaded decorations throughout the top, mid and feet sections of the salts.
The central band/frieze is decorated with gothic-style motifs and a stippled background.
The interior of each salt is fully gilt with that not only contrasts the exterior silver colour but adds a layer of protection from the contents which may tarnish the silver. Each salt is fully and clearly hallmarked with full English hallmarks on the base underneath the bowl.
A wonderful pair for those wishing to acquire an elegant manner to store and display your favourite condiments on a dining table or as part of interior decor.
