Description and Details
A rectangular German silver and enamel guilloche cigarette case made by silversmith Louis Kuppenheim in the southwestern town of Pforzheim in c.1900. This uniquely designed case is attached to a finger ring with dual chains and features numerous eccentric characteristics such as a one-sided lime green guilloche enamel lid and a gold gilt interior. Unlike counterpart German silver, the case is constructed from a higher grade silver (900) which is reflected in the solid feel and construction quality of this item. The hinge and clasp function flawlessly with a tight shut and an audible click upon closure. Overall, this cigarette case presents a variety of unique combinations ranging from high-grade 900 German silver craftsmanship to a distinguishing lime green guilloche design.
