Description and Details
This lovely solid silver box was originally made likely in Germany, with its import marks showing Thomas Glaser as the London silversmith and its year of 'make' in 1891.
The box features a unique elongated octagonal design with a scenic motif on all sides and the lid featuring cherubs in a countryside setting.
Interior wise, the box is fully gilded which provides a layer of protection from the snuff/pills oxidising with the silver, in addition to adding a contrasting tone of gold to the silver exterior.
The hinge and closure of the box function well, however, the box require you to push in the base a little in order to close the lid.
The relatively thick and large dimensions of this box allow for a wide range of small items to be stored within. Whether it be for pills, snuffs or mints, a fair amount can be held within this box.

Condition
Great Condition - The box is in great antique condition with no major damage or issues. There are a few minor dints on the interior base of the box - this does not affect the overall shape/usage of the box. Please refer to the photographs to examine the condition in further detail.
