Description and Details
We are delighted to offer this Georgian solid silver snuff box with a country scene of a pheasant in the foreground. The box is made by Thomas Shaw in Birmingham, 1834.
The proportions of the box are slightly unique with a tall/elongated design that has an overall thick and heavy gauge of silver.
The interior of the box is fully gilt with a beautiful gold lustre that accents and contrasts the exterior tone.
The hinge and closure of the box are in good working order with a smooth closure that gives a sense of security and high-quality craftsmanship.
The box is fully hallmarked on both the lid and base with clear English marks.
